It's crazy how things change with success.
Just a few months ago, Penn State was struggling in the early part of its Big Ten schedule. Coach Pat Chambers, at least from an outside perspective, was on the hot seat as his talented Nittany Lions looked headed for another disappointing finish in conference play.
Fast forward to May 3 and Chambers will be around in Happy Valley for the foreseeable future.
After a top-half finish in the Big Ten, a run to the conference tournament semifinals and an NIT championship, Penn State extended Chambers’ contract through the 2021-22 season, it was announced on Thursday in a release sent out by the program.
