We can keep asking Penn State football head coach James Franklin when the team will narrow down the backfield to one or two players being featured on game day. And we’re just going to keep getting the same answers at this point.
It surely doesn’t hurt to ask, though. After all, we see different running backs play better than others every week. For week one, everybody went off and flashed some promise. For week two, nobody really played a good game as Sean Clifford led the team in rushing.
For week three, Journey Brown and Noah Cain played a solid game, while in week four, Brown and Ricky Slade were the highlight of the night before Devyn Ford got some action with the backups.
