PHILADELPHIA -- Eagles third-string quarterback Matt McGloin said Tuesday he isn't letting thoughts of looming roster determinations creep into his mind.
"Never," the former Penn Star signal-caller insisted, "because it's not my decision."
But by the first weekend of September, Philly's coaches and executives will have to make choices that whittle the roster down from 90 players to 53. And McGloin, despite his four years of experience with the Oakland Raiders, is far from a lock to remain with the Eagles beyond the preseason.
Philadelphia carried only two quarterbacks on its 53-man roster last year, which is a common occurrence for NFL teams.
