After losing three consecutive games — two of which to top-20 opponents — Penn State set its sights on yet another ranked team.
The Nittany Lions didn’t get the result they were looking for in East Lansing, as they fell to the Spartans, 90-85. The defeat marked their fourth consecutive loss and a third straight to a ranked opponent.
According to coach Mike Rhoades, turnovers played a pivotal role in Penn State’s narrow defeat.
“We had some tough turnovers late that really hurt us … Some of those turnovers we just couldn’t defend. They’re free points.
