It was overwhelming.
And it was a bit embarrassing for Iowa.
But Hawkeyes coach Kirk Ferentz insists there’s at least one thing his team’s 41-14 loss to Penn State at Beaver Stadium in 2016 was not: Motivation for revenge when it faces the Nittany Lions at 7:30 p.m. Saturday at Kinnick Stadium.
“I know there’s been a lot of talk … about avenging last year’s game or revenge factors, that type of thing,” Ferentz said. “The reality is we have a lot of players that … are playing for us now that weren’t on the field.
