Growing up, Isaiah Harris didn’t know if he wanted to continue running, even after succeeding in his early years of high school.
Harris gravitated to basketball, using running as a way to stay in shape and work toward his goal of playing in the NBA.
“Basketball was kind of my true love,” Harris said. “I played all sports growing up, but basketball was always the one where (I thought), this was my future.”
However, when the former Penn Stater committed to running, he excelled at both the collegiate and professional levels.
“Isaiah was confident that he could beat anybody,” Penn State track and field coach John Gondak said.
