Next season, Penn State will have the option to ice a line made up of all NHL draftees.
Incoming freshman Evan Barratt was selected in the third round (90th overall) by the Chicago Blackhawks in the 2017 NHL Draft Saturday. He joins forwards Brett Murray and Nikita Pavylchev as the only current Nittany Lions to be drafted.
Barratt and Pavylchev are both centers, while Murray is primarily a left winger. So should coach Guy Gadowsky decide he wants these three to play on the same line, either Barratt or Pavylchev would have to move to a wing.
