‘I just love this place’ | Penn State’s Alli Campbell leaves mark on the court, in the community

Four years after Alli Campbell arrived in Happy Valley, she’s become a household name in Penn State women’s basketball.

While her stats weren’t record-breaking and she only started 24 games throughout her career, she will leave a legacy at Penn State with her community involvement and leadership.

After a not-so-lucky freshman season with Notre Dame, where Campbell suffered a season-ending injury, the Altoona, Pennsylvania, native took her talents to Penn State.

“When I was at Penn State and I heard we were trying to get her and recruit her, I was like, ‘Yes, a local girl,’” former Lady Lion Makenna Marisa said.
