If there’s one play that best represents the night Tony Carr had on Thursday, it’s the last bucket he scored in the first half of Penn State’s 79-65 win over No. 8 Ohio State.
With less than five seconds to go in the half, coach Pat Chambers yelled “fist” to his team during a stoppage of play and the sophomore point guard knew exactly what to do.
On the ensuing inbounds play, Josh Reaves heaved the ball over 75 feet down the court, Carr caught the ball over two falling down Buckeyes and put the ball into the basket, drawing the foul in the process.
