By Penn State coach Cael Sanderson's own admission, things started slow for the Nittany Lions, while Iowa coach Tom Brands felt that things unraveled quickly in the dual between the Nittany Lions and the Hawkeyes at the Bryce Jordan Center on in a sold out dual on Saturday night.

The Nittany Lions won the dual 28-13, but the one bright spot for Iowa came during the 165 pound bout when Iowa's Alex Marinelli took on Penn State's Vincenzo Joseph.

Bo Pipher fell by 14-4 major decision to No. 2 ranked Michael Kemerer at 157 in the bout prior, allowing Iowa to take a 10-9 lead into intermission.
