Walk in the front door of the All-Sports Museum, and the Nittany Lion grins at you. Recently, football head coach James Franklin took a selfie with it. It’s fitting then, that when you walk down the steps, you enter the football section, where the floor is like turf, the Fiesta Bowl trophy is a glittering crystal football, and the Heisman (placed on the 50 yard line) is, yes, real.
“A lot of people ask if it’s a real Heisman,” Museum Director Ken Hickman said, smiling. “It is. It’s 43 years old.”
The alma mater blares from the television screens placed on the wall, while game day coverage echoes over it.
