UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Jordan Lucas’ biggest fan only has seen the Nittany Lions’ safety suit up once in person in Beaver Stadium.
He’s five years younger than the 22-year-old whose jersey he wears while sitting at home in New Rochelle, N.Y., in front of the TV watching every Penn State football game. He can’t say Jordan’s name correctly, replacing the “j” with a “d,” and Jordan’s ability to colorfully express himself with his actions and words is something his No. 1 fan cannot do.
When it comes to finding a person to look up to, Jordan looks no further than his little brother Brandon, whose daily challenges stem from autism and motivate the older Lucas.
