Penn State’s alumni hoops squad lives to play another day, as the Happy Valley Hoopers took down the top-seed in their region the Stars of Storrs, a UConn alumni team in a 94-83 upset win. Greg Lee (22 points), Sam Sessoms (18), Myreon Jones (16), and John Harrar (15) all reached double digits in scoring for HVH, as the team blew open a close game late in the first quarter that ultimately saw them take a 49-31 lead into the locker room at halftime.
The second half saw continued hot shooting from HVH, as the team would ultimately finish hitting 15 of 35 attempts from three-point range.
