If there’s one thing we’ve learned from watching the Happy Valley Hoopers in this year’s edition of The Basketball Tournament, it’s that you can never count them out, no matter how dire things might seem. Tonight’s game against the Zoo Crew (a Pitt alumni team) saw HVH get off to a slow start on both sides of the ball, as the hot-shooting Zoo Crew was able to jump out to a 28-14 advantage at one point during the first half, prompting a timeout from HVH coach and former NIttany Lion assistant coach Ross Condon. The timeout allowed the team to regroup and cut the deficit in half to 28-21, ultimately trailing by only four points at halftime.
