Handling of Sumlin must stay in house

Texas A&M University System regent Tony Buzbee wants Kevin Sumlin fired and you can’t blame him.

Sumlin couldn’t prevent Texas A&M’s biggest meltdown in school history as the Aggies blew a 34-point lead in a 45-44 loss to UCLA to open the season. Buzbee, like any Aggie with a pulse, is frustrated. You just can’t lose a game that way, especially Sumlin, who is trying to put a trifecta of second-half season collapses behind him.

Everyone knew Sumlin’s job was on the line heading into the season. Maybe Sunday’s loss will prove to be the last straw, maybe not.
