Stop me if you’ve heard this before: Penn State got off to a slow start. The Nittany Lions led for portions of the first half, but ultimately went into halftime trailing 10-7. To add injury to insult, Drew Allar was sacked on the final drive of the second quarter and came up gimpy after getting his left knee twisted. While Allar tried to give it go during halftime warmups, he unfortunately wasn’t able to return to the game.
The stage was set. Penn State trailed 10-7, and was bringing in its backup quarterback Beau Pribula to likely keep its College Football Playoff hopes alive.
