Goalkeeper situation thickening as Penn State men’s soccer approaches end of schedule

In this past weekend's loss to Michigan, Penn State saw one of the consequences that can occur when a team tries to share time between goalies. After a solid first half from senior Evan Finney, who saved five shots and let in zero goals, head coach Bob Warming decided to switch to freshman Arie Ammann, who ended up letting in two goals on four shots.

“Honestly I really didn’t know what his thinking was at the time,” Finney said. “Coach didn’t talk to me about it before or after. It was obviously tough for me but you just have to stay positive because it’s not about you, it’s about the guys in front of you.
