Game of Runs: Indiana 77, Penn State 71

Penn State men’s basketball (12-3, 2-2 Big Ten) fell to Indiana (12-3, 2-2 Big Ten) Sunday afternoon despite a raucous crowd at Philadelphia’s historic Palestra arena.

You would’ve thought this game was in Indianapolis, not Philadelphia, based on how loud the Palestra erupted after Mike Rhoades’ first timeout of the second half. Indiana scored 12 consecutive points out of the locker room before Penn State finally responded, creating a deficit that proved to be insurmountable.

After a back-and-forth first half where neither team was super efficient from the field, Indiana asserted itself as the better shooting team shortly after the second half began.
