Passionate, energetic, resilient, competitive and a leader.

These are just a few words to describe Olympian Mohamed Cisset.

Cisset spent his four years in high school at Montverde Academy in Florida, playing in the SIMA program, before committing to Penn State prior to the 2023 season.

The 6-foot-2 Montreal native was a center midfielder leading up to his time at Montverde, where he eventually made the switch to the backline.

Freddy Moojen, a scout for Montverde Academy, was looking for defenders at a showcase in Montreal when a player stood out from the rest.

“I was only looking for defenders, and the game that I saw, Momo was playing as a center midfielder, and I saw right away the level, the quality that he had,” Moojen said.
