Penn State transfer Geno Thorpe is headed to South Florida for his final two years of eligibility, he announced Sunday on Instagram.
“Thank you to everybody who supported me in this process throughout this time! Officially a part of the University of South Florida!!” wrote Thorpe, a former Shaler High School star who averaged 8.7 points per game last season as a sophomore at Penn State.
Thorpe left the Nittany Lions earlier this month and will sit out this season because of NCAA transfer rules.
