Penn State alum Haleigh Washington and Team USA are one match away from competing for gold.
After a 3-0 sweep over Poland in the quarterfinals, Washington and the U.S. are set to take on Brazil in the semifinals at 10 a.m. Thursday.
Washington has been a crucial player for Team USA’s Olympic journey so far, tallying at least 10 points in each of the pool stage matches and six points in the quarterfinals match against Poland.
A starter in every match throughout the Olympics so far, Washington should once again see a high-volume of playing time in the semifinals.
