An impressive Olympic debut.
Former Penn State track star Alexis Holmes secured a spot in the women's 400m final Friday after running a 50.00 in the semifinal just two days prior.
In the final, Holmes battled for third place throughout the first 200m. The final 200m saw Holmes fall behind, ultimately finishing sixth with a time of 49.77.
