A former Penn Stater has found his new home.
Forward Evan Mahaffey has transferred to Akron after a two-year stint with Ohio State.
Ohio State transfer Evan Mahaffey has committed to Akron. The 6’6” junior wing appeared in 32 games, averaging 3.6 points, 3.1 rebounds, and 1.0 block per game.

Mahaffey was in Happy Valley for his 2022-23 freshman year, averaging 2.8 points and 1.7 rebounds per game in 34 appearances.
Following the coaching change from Micah Shrewsberry to Mike Rhoades, Mahaffey transferred to Ohio State, where he spent his sophomore and junior campaigns.
