Former Penn State field hockey's Stephanie Hussey has been hired as an assistant field hockey coach at the University of California-Davis.
“My dream has always been to coach at the Division I level,” Hussey told gopsusports. “Landing this job is getting my foot in the door and seeing where it goes. It’s being able to influence student-athletes. If I can do half the job that my coaches did influencing me along my path throughout my college career, than I consider that to be successful.”
Hussey transferred from Syracuse to Penn State as a junior in 2014. After redshirting a season, she started in all 19 games in 2015.
