FEATURE: How Josh Reaves became Penn State men’s basketball’s catalyst for success

One of the first impact plays Josh Reaves made as a freshman was a quick steal near midcourt against DePaul — a play that would become one of the staples of his Penn State career.

A Blue Demons player attempted to squeeze a pass across court. Reaves was having none of it, and he anticipated the pass before it happened. He took the ball the other way in transition and finished the play off with a mammoth one-handed slam.

It was clear from the start, Reaves’ energy on both ends of the floor would light a spark for the rest of the program.
