The crowd cheered as the bus containing the Nittany Lions rolled into its last stop of the weekend, Rec Hall. Trumpets sounded and the crowd sang as they welcomed home the national championship winning soccer team.
Coach Erica Walsh and the Lions have praised their fans the entire year. The Penn State coach has repeatedly said that they have the best fans in the nation. Having the crowd at Rec Hall to close out their trip was no surprise to them.
“The support and the way we have been treated has been overwhelmingly positive and something you dream and imagine when you’re going to a College Cup,” Walsh said.
