The women’s volleyball team won the Kentucky Invitational last weekend with a 3-2 win over No. 9 Kentucky and a 3-0 sweep of Ball State.
Penn State defeated Kentucky after dropping the first two sets. The Nittany Lions were plagued by service errors and a tough start for Jess Mruzik during the first two sets. Camryn Hannah led the team in kills with 22, including three in the fifth set. Taylor Trammell (12 kills, five blocks, .435 hitting %) and Maggie Mendelson (eight blocks) led a strong night for Penn State’s middle blockers.
