For years, Adam Breneman has envisioned a future in the NFL.
He had the league in mind when he wore No. 87 -- in honor of the Eagles' Brent Celek -- as a blue chip tight end recruit at Cedar Cliff. Breneman pondered his potential draft status after a strong freshman season at Penn State under coach Bill O'Brien. And he's angling to leave positive impressions on NFL scouts as he gears up for his final college campaign at Massachusetts this fall.
But there was a period of a few months recently when Breneman let his goals of planning professional football fade.
