Ex-Penn State men's hockey’s Nikita Pavlychev signs deal with Chicago Wolves

A former Nittany Lion signed to his next professional team.

Forward Nikita Pavlychev inked a one-year deal with the Chicago Wolves.

The Chicago Wolves are the AHL affiliate of the Carolina Hurricanes.

This upcoming season will be Pavlychev's fifth stint on an AHL roster. Most recently, Pavlychev played for the Ontario Reign, where he scored six goals and four assists in 29 games played.

The former Penn Stater has yet to make a appearance on an NHL roster.
