Emily Ogle finished up with quite an impressive stat line in Penn State’s 5-0 victory over Albany at Jeffrey Field in the first round of the NCAA tournament, even though she only saw the field for 56 minutes.
Her first point came on an assist to Brittany Basinger’s long-distance goal. Ogle connected with a wide-open Basinger after switching the field.
She later contributed two goals, one of which was a 30-yard strike that deflected downwards off the crossbar and into the back of the net in the 15th minute. She followed it up less than five minutes later with an identical shot that Albany keeper Alana Olivieri barely knocked away.
