Coach Patrick Chambers understands Penn State’s youth and inexperience — now more than ever.
After Penn State’s 70-54 loss to Nebraska on Saturday, Chambers said on Tuesday the Nittany Lions are a tale of two teams. He said he recognizes their shortcomings, while reiterating they can play at the same level as the better Big Ten teams.
“We are the team that played against Indiana. We are that team,” Chambers said. “And then you look at the second half [against the Cornhuskers] and you’re like, ‘Who’s this team?’ It’s going to happen with youth and inexperience. So we have to just keep tapping at that stone until it breaks, until these guys can be a little bit more consistent.
