When the lights are bright, stars shine even brighter. Penn State and Michigan have faced off 28 times, with the series tied 14-14. But in their first appearance wearing pink and black, the Nittany Lions proved unstoppable.
“For about 10 years they’ve been begging me for pink and black uniforms,” coach Randy Jepson said.
During morning practice he told his team, “You’ve earned the honor not just to wear the blue and white, but to wear the pink and black. So we pulled them out.”
Despite trailing heading into the final rotation, a massive performance on high bar propelled Penn State to its season-high 319.
