Dominant effort at the face-off X leads Penn State men's lacrosse to blowout of Stony Brook

Penn State came out flying, scoring three goals in the first 1:03, and never really looked back.

While Stony Brook made some runs here and there, it was never able to tie the game. Then, in the second half, the 16th-ranked Nittany Lions took over and pulled away to complete a 15-8 win and improve to 2-1 on the season.

The game was affected by snow in the second-half as it continuously increased in intensity from the middle of the second quarter on. While footing was a problem for the players out on the field, and the effects of the snow ultimately did lead to some sloppy turnovers, the goalies on each end were most affected.
