After a 3-1 win against No. 16 CSUN on Tuesday night, No. 12 Penn State looked to ride its success from the night prior in a matchup against No. 12 USC in its California gauntlet.
The second game of the back-to-back featured a flip of the script from the previous night, as USC shut down a potentially fiery Penn State comeback to win 3-1 (25-22, 25-19, 15-25, 25-23).
Early in the first set, the Trojans came out hot, leading 7-3 over Penn State with two service aces and a fierce attack at the net with two kills from Dillion Klein.
