Defense in Penn State fraternity hazing case seeks contempt order against head football trainer Tim Bream

BELLEFONTE - Defense attorneys have asked a Centre County district justice to hold Penn State football trainer Tim Bream in contempt for allegedly dodging attempts to call him as a witness in the Beta Theta Pi hazing case.

Magisterial District Judge Allen Sinclair has not yet ruled on the issue, but he will likely address it after the case resumes this afternoon.

The issue arose after Sinclair stated that he would permit the defense to call Bream, who was the live-in senior advisor for the fraternity on the night of the party that led to pledge Timothy Piazza's death.
