Josh Cunningham had 21 points and 11 rebounds, and Dayton shot 83 percent from the field in the second half to beat visiting Duquesne, 88-73, Wednesday night.
The Flyers’ second-half shooting percentage was their second-best half in program history. On March 1, 1986, Dayton made 19 of 22 shots (86 percent) against Southern in the first half.
Dayton (11-12, 5-6 Atlantic 10) led 29-26 at the break and had an 18-3 run early in the second half on its way to outscoring Duquesne, 59-47, in the period.
It was Cunningham’s eighth double-double this season.
Darrell Davis added 20 points, Jordan Davis scored 18, including 4 of 5 from 3-point range, and Trey Landers scored 12.
