After taking care of Yale on the road, Penn State set its focus on another Ivy League team: No. 3 Cornell.
Riding the momentum from their victory over the Bulldogs, the Nittany Lions survived the Big Red and earned a 13-12 upset victory.
The game just couldn’t be decided in regulation, though, and it took an overtime period for the blue and white to seal the deal and escape with the victory.
Cornell drew first blood after midfielder Hugh Kelleher scored an easy goal past Penn State goaltender Jack Fracyon.
Both teams got the short sticks rolling out of the gates as blue and white middie Hunter Aquino evened the playing field.
