Whether a returning player, offseason transfer or freshman, each made an impact for the Lady Lions. However, these five players stood out the most in their respective categories.

MVP: Gracie Merkle

Gracie Merkle arrived in Happy Valley this year after transferring from Bellarmine, where she spent two seasons.

The 6-foot-6 center contributed to the blue and white on both sides of the court as the team’s leading scorer and rebounder.

Merkle recorded six 20-point contests through the first eight games, averaging 22.
