As Penn State women’s hockey approaches its mid-season mark, a number of impactful players come to mind. Maddy Christian has stood out as an athlete who works to be the best.
The junior forward has been increasingly efficient with her shooting percentage, which sits at .275. While her performance on the rink portrays her as a player, the work she puts in outside of the game is what sets her apart from the rest.
“Every morning, she’ll come in for an hour and work on her shooting,” coach Jeff Kampersal said. “She’s hitting the net significantly more than she did before, and she’s thinking about how to set up a goalie better than she did before.
