After the debacle that was the Adam LaRoche controversy back in spring training, I didn't think things could get any more dumb inside the Chicago White Sox organization.
Well, I was mistaken.
News broke a few hours before Saturday's game between the White Sox and Detroit Tigers that the team's starting pitcher Chris Sale was scratched from his scheduled start.
It was not because he was being traded -- a rumor that had been circulating the past few days, or because he had flu-like symptoms, as was first thought on Twitter.
Nope, the starting pitcher for the American League in last week's All-Star Game and a front runner for the CY Young Award, given annually to the two best pitchers in baseball, was sent home because he cut up his jersey.
