After 29 seasons as Penn State’s head coach, Charlene Morett-Curtiss will be inducted into the Pennsylvania Sports Hall of Fame on Oct. 22.
“I’m very honored and very humbled,” Morett-Curtiss said. “Being a Pennsylvanian myself, going to the Pennsylvania State University, I’m very proud to represent where I grew up [Delaware County], to represent Penn State [and] to be inducted with some other coaches here at Penn State.”
Before graduating in 1979, Morett-Curtiss was a three-time first-team All-American for the Nittany Lions and captained the undefeated 1978 team.
After her collegiate career, Morett-Curtiss went on to earn a bronze medal at the 1984 Olympic Games in Los Angeles.
