Centre County District Attorney Stacy Parks Miller will hold a news conference Friday to discuss results of a criminal investigation into the Beta Theta Pi fraternity at Penn State University, where a pledge died after a fall.
The 10 a.m. news conference in the Annex Building in Bellefonte comes three months after Timothy Piazza, 19, a sophomore from Lebanon, N.J., fell down a flight of stairs at the fraternity's off-campus house on Feb. 2 during a pledge event.
Mr. Piazza was attending a bid-acceptance ceremony and was drinking, State College police have said. He was not transported by ambulance for 12 hours, police said.
