In a stunning move, Denver Nuggets General Manager and Penn State alum Calvin Booth was fired Tuesday afternoon, according to ESPN’s Shams Charania.
Booth was let go alongside Nuggets’ head coach Michael Malone in an unprecedented clean-out. Denver is currently the No. 4 seed in the NBA’s Western Conference and is just three regular-season games away from the beginning of the playoffs.

Booth was hired as the Nuggets’ general manager in 2020 after serving as assistant GM for three years.
