BSD Roundtable: Who Is Penn State’s Most Valuable Defensive Player?

Yesterday, the BSD staff discussed who on the offensive side of the ball was the most valuable player heading into the 2024 season. Now, it’s time for the defense.

Bennett: KJ Winston

The safety played so well in November and was one of the bright spots in an otherwise completely forgettable Peach Bowl for the Penn State secondary. I think his versatility is crucial for first-year defensive coordinator Tom Allen. I think Penn State’s defense will have another great year and Winston will be one of the most consistent members of the unit - good enough for me to call him my preseason MVP.
