Back in October at the Big Ten media day in Chicago, Patrick Chambers was still unsure of what his team’s identity would look like in the 2015-16 season.
Losing Penn State’s leading scorer and leading rebounder from a season ago left Chambers hoping that someone would step up as the team’s leader on and off the court.
During that press conference, Chambers had a guess of who that might be, and it turned out that guess was correct.
That someone turned out to be Brandon Taylor.
“I think Brandon Taylor is ready to take that torch, he’s ready to step up,” Chambers said in October.
