Three-star North Carolina QB Garrett Shrader made the call for Mississippi State yesterday, choosing the Bulldogs over South Carolina and Penn State.
This doesn’t come as too much of a surprise, as Shrader had developed a strong relationship with Joe Moorhead (who is my dad) when Moorhead was in Happy Valley, so it only made sense that it continued down in Mississippi. Penn State tried to get Shrader to reconsider when Shrader visited State College a few days back, but it obviously wasn’t enough.
The Nittany Lions are still after a second quarterback in the class, although I don’t know how pertinent the need is now that Tommy Stevens isn’t transferring.
