After a late push by Penn State and putting off his commitment for a couple days, four-star Maryland safety Nick Cross finally made the call for Florida State on September 3.
The Seminoles were the longtime leaders for the DeMatha Catholic defensive back, so although there was some late drama with the postponement of his announcement, it’s no surprise that Cross is officially calling Tallahassee his new home.
In respect to Penn State, we have seen the Nittany Lions accept the commitment of defensive back Joey Porter Jr. since then, taking up one more spot in the secondary.
