The recruitment of top-100 running back Nick Singleton has been a wild one. Entering the spring the Nittany Lions appeared to be way behind the 8-ball in the recruiting of the Reading native. Following a big spring for the Nittany Lion staff, Penn State appeared to surge to being the team to beat for Singleton.
A week after his official visit to Penn State, Singleton took an official visit to Notre Dame. Coming out of that visit he nearly committed to the Fighting Irish. Instead, he remain un-committed and took official visits to Texas A&M and Alabama.
