Five years ago, Bill O'Brien coached Michael Mauti through the first season under sanctions at Penn State. Now, the pair might reunite in the NFL.
In an interview with StateCollege.com looking back on the five-year anniversary of Penn State's NCAA sanctions, O'Brien said Mauti tried out for the Texans.
"We brought in Mike Mauti in the other day to work out," Mauti told Mike Poorman. "We're going to try to sign him and get him on our team. He told me, 'You know, it's been five years since that '12 season.
