Back in the preseason, Saturday, October 12 was circled on Big Ten calendars as there were two mega matchups amongst teams considered playoff contenders taking place on the West Coast. Well, it lived up to the hype. Meanwhile, there was some other interesting stuff happening around the B1G and we will highlight some of those things and not be complete homers in this one post.

I know. I know. This wasn’t my FAVORITE win of the weekend, but credit where it’s due. This has been billed as the B1Ggest Big Ten game of the regular season and some predict there will be a December rematch in Indianapolis (let’s home not).
